During my years of experience in mainstream and independent school (SEN) settings, home tutoring, and within the job roles I have performed, I have received the required training and certification necessary to practice as a local authority registered SEN home tutor.

This includes Team Teach, EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), child development, SEN law, auditory processing, sensory diets, EBD (Emotional Behaviour Disorders), ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), Dyslexia, ADHD/ADD, epilepsy, Dyspraxia, educational psychology, mental health, SEN advanced, PDA, ASC, visual impairment, Makaton, self-harm, safeguarding, FGM, Zones of Regulation, SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs), behaviour, child development, anxiety, sensory processing, physical disabilities, Down Syndrome, and learning difficulties. In addition to the above, staff complete yearly safeguarding, prevent duty and prevent bullying training. LEA (Local Education Authority) registered in Surrey, and Anne-Marie is currently studying Psychology and Counselling (degree level).

Additional SEN Skills

I have excellent differentiation skills that help children to access their learning that is complemented by an excellent knowledge of different types of special educational needs. I have worked with a range of professionals such as SALT (Speech and Language Therapist), OT (Occupational Therapists), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Educational Psychologists, Play Therapists, Visual / Hearing Impairment Advisors and SEN Advisors. I have been successful in implementing positive behaviour plans and seen great progress and improved mental health with the child/ young adult.
